From using deep brain stimulation to eliminate the tremors of Parkinson’s and other movement disorders to applying minimally invasive approaches to treating the spine, these experts are helping to revolutionize care for patients at Rush and around the world.

Services Provided

The expert teams at Rush have extensive experience diagnosing and treating most neurological disorders and conditions—from headaches to strokes. We have established programs devoted to the following:

Multiple Sclerosis Center: The Rush Multiple Sclerosis Center combines comprehensive treatment with clinical and laboratory research to provide the highest quality patient care. In existence since the early 1970s, it is the largest center of its kind in the Midwest, serving more than 3,000 patients from around the country.

Neuromuscular Disorders Program: At Rush, we are devoted to helping adults and children with all types of neuromuscular disorders, from carpal tunnel syndrome to muscular dystrophy. We have been diagnosing and treating these disorders for dozens of years.

Neurosurgery: University Neurosurgeons in Chicago are involved in all aspect of neurological care including brain & spine surgery. Cranial pathology treated includes aneurysms, AVMs, epilepsy, tumors & Parkinson's Disease. Neurosurgeons also specialize in minimally invasive lumbar, thoracic, & cervical surgery.
